Baby Steps MP3 Download

I flirted with somebody new last night

He drove from Colorado when he teased me for not knowing where that is

I'm geographically his

He brushed up on my arm and a touch, that's it

But my heart got all fluttery and now I'm wondering if so did his

What if we theoretically kissed?

And I know it's not much but

It's more than I've been able to do in six months

My heart is torn from an old love

Let's stitch it up so

I won't crawl back to my ex, no

I've been crying less and less

So break a bottle, make a mess, oh

I've been taking baby steps

I flirted with somebody, yeah, that's right

And I could tell my ex was jealous

But I didn't let it wreck my night

I tell my girls I'll be alright

And I know it's silly

But those sea-splashed eyes

Are all I've thought about since three

These butterflies won't leave me be

Am I ready?

No, I won't crawl back to my ex, no

I've been crying less and less

So break a bottle, make a mess, oh

I've been taking baby steps

Healing is a process

I promise to be patient

I'm working through the sorrow

Tomorrow keeps me faithful

Healing is a process

I promise to be patient

I'm working through the sorrow

Tomorrow keeps me faithful

I won't crawl back to my ex, no

I've been crying less and less

So break a bottle, make a mess, oh

I've been taking baby steps
