You used to say that we were dreamin'
Of places that we could go
You used to say that we were leaving
Taking the open road
I, the perfect moments to forget who we are
I, into the ocean, under the stars
And I wanted you to know
I'll always hold you close
So come with me, don't let go
We'll take the open road
The open road
We'll take the open road
We'll take the open road
Head on my shoulder, it feels like magic
Something I can't explain
You're pulling me closer, could never imagine
It's something that we would make
I, we're walkin' on water, floating on air
I, grow all together, all the moments we share
And I wanted you to know
I'll always hold you close
So come with me, don't let go
We'll take the open road
The open road
We'll take the open road
We'll take the open road
And I wanted you to know
I'll always hold you close
So come with me, don't let go
We'll take the open road
The open road
We'll take the open road
We'll take the open road
