Reality isn't romantic at all... it's harsh.
Was it a success?
Was it a failure?
Was it a great achievement or the worst thing ever?
I wrote the best song ever and no one cared
I tried to get better
But I'm still weak and scared in my heart
And that's the most normal-est thing
It's just like everyone I ever seen
Except the rich freaks that are on TV
With the pentagram faces all burning at me
And I don't feel good
But I can't despair...
You get killed out here and no one cares
You can do your best but you just gotta look out for your friends
Was it a success?
Was it a failure?
Was it a great achievement or the worst thing ever?
I wrote the best song ever and no one cared
I tried to get better
I'm still weak and scared
Good things happen for my friends and they happen for me
Always pick the biggest apple right out of the tree
I just wanna get the bread, i just want the cheddar
Make myself a little sandwich then i'll feel all better
It seems like we keep going up
But every now and then still, the going still gets tough
Sometimes around the the edges it can get real rough
They keep asking for more but i already gave enough, on god
Was it a success?
Was it a failure?
Was it a great achievement or the worst thing ever?
I wrote the worst song ever and no one cared
I fucked up my whole life but I'm still here for now
For now
