It's hard to look up when you're feeling so down
Need a new start, you're fed up with this town
The world is on fire and with that I'll agree
There's much to admire, just you wait and see
You say every silver lining has a cloud
That may be true but it's so bleak for crying out loud
(Come on)
Now it's a new day, each one is a blessing
Nothing is pressing, there's no need for stressing
There's a new way, don't be pessimistic
Let's be optimistic for this brand new day
Wake up to headlines you don't wanna read
War and disease, it fills up your newsfeed
Everything's bad but somehow will get worse
So let's find the good, yeah, let's break this curse
You say every silver lining has a cloud
That may be true but it's so bleak for crying out loud
(Come on)
Now it's a new day, each one is a blessing
Nothing is pressing, there's no need for stressing
There's a new way, don't be pessimistic
Let's be optimistic for this brand new day
Well it gets better and you know
Hold on to late summer nights where you're dining al fresco
Or your favourite wine, it is half price at Tesco
It's a new day, each one is a blessing
Nothing is pressing, there's no need for stressing
There's a new way, don't be pessimistic
Let's be optimistic for this brand new day
This brand new day
This brand new day
