At the cost of poverty and desperation
Pellet embedded faces of patience
Let us face and breathe the blatant truth of celebration

How did we not see it coming?

Instead of blame games, and targets
Can we please be honest?

पूर्ण स्वराज, पर शब्दों पे लाठी क्यूँ?
घिसता है हाथ, मैं लिखने से डरूँ क्यूँ?
पूर्ण स्वराज, सवालों पे क्यूँ हो बवाल?
क्या यही हैं अच्छे दिन?
Paint a better picture
Read between the lines
Assure to read a clearer figure
Of speech they want to make us all believe their lie disguised
Truth for their vote to seal up
Get a seat, proceed their greed up
And heat up
Debates on the tv, to the beat of fear
And call it freedom
Wisdom is bleak and make sense they just seldom
Sell them as icons with tycoons to pay up
For ads so we worship and pray for
सब बातें ये कम हैं निभाते
गरीबी को मारें पर जाते ये बाटें
क्या मंदिर? क्या मस्जिद?
हवेली? क्या बस्ती?
इंसानियत कब से बनी इतनी सस्ती?
पर सख्ती है छात्रों पे
सोचों पे और विचारों पे
Huh, पत्थर को पूजें पत्थर से मारें
दर्शक हम सब हैं रक्षक वो हमारे
राक्षस और दानव को परखें, पहचाने
आज़ादी के सपने हमारे पर
पूर्ण स्वराज, पर शब्दों पे लाठी क्यूँ?
घिसता है हाथ, मैं लिखने से डरूँ क्यूँ?
पूर्ण स्वराज, प्रचारों में क्यों अत्याचार?
क्या यही हैं अच्छे दिन?
बात बाकि है इंसान तू
स्वदेशी क्या, कौन पाकि है?
बाधी राखी पर कहे तू, "रात बाकि है"
लड़की की skirt छोटी काफ़ी है
भाई को बोले, "तेरी भाभी है"
इन सबकी ज्ञान फटी, ये भड़वे
ये इंसान नहीं, ये कौवे
माने ये खुद को ज्ञानी (क्यों?)
क्यूँकि कंकड़ है इनके जल में
बजरंग है इनके दल में
सब संघी हैं इनके संघ में
भक्ति गाने ये चीखें
और लोगों को मारे सर पे
नारों में ही सच है
बातें तेरी ही अस्वच्छ हैं
माथे पे तेरे है टीका
और हाथों में मेरे
पूर्ण स्वराज, पर शब्दों पे लाठी क्यूँ?
